Envjoy Nature
The company was founded by Francesco Pititto (CEO) and two more members have joined the team: Josep Salgado (CTO) with a degree in Electronic Engineering and former software QA/QC responsible in several companies, and Chiara Romano (Chief Scientific Officer), a researcher at Universitá di Scienze Gastronomiche di Pollenzo (Italy) and former Post-doc at CEAB-CSIC (Spain).
Francesco Pititto (CEO) has 18 years of working experience in marine biological and geophysical issues, and 9 years as a project manager. He is passionate about technology, and he completed several training courses for iOS programming, including Augmented Reality, Computer Vision, and Machine Learning modules.
He worked in both private companies and research institutions. He is used to working in international, multidisciplinary, and multicultural contexts and has strong expertise in the use of GIS technologies in coastal environments, including Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), marine maps and geophysical surveys, data elaboration, and reporting to the clients. He also has taxonomical expertise on Molluscs and Echinoderms.
He spent the last 3 years in training and startup environments and has good experience in customer validation and product/market fit.
Envjoy provides technological solutions for environmental conservation and sustainable tourism. Combining the power of augmented reality and artificial intelligence with biological knowledge, Envjoy allows to reinvent the visit to museums and natural spaces (either marine and on-land). Augmenting the visit, Envjoy lets the visitors live a unique, funny and personal experience. The users have a biologist always in their pocket allowing them to explore according to their own curiosity, promoting sustainable habits and increasing awareness.
The technological platform developed by Envjoy is also helping marine biologists – who need to identify living organisms to protect the environment and assess its status – to work faster and more efficiently, to preserve the memory and knowledge of senior researchers, and to train more efficiently the future generations.
Envjoy creates beautiful immersive experiences and is an innovative tool allowing marine biologists to better monitor and protect the environment, and the visitors of museums and parks to reconnect with nature in a more interesting and effective way, retaining more information and increasing awareness toward environmental conservation.
