Autonomous unmanned robot vessels operate in swarm and collect, store and transport ocean waste. The
vessels are using ocean data for navigating to spots of accumulated waste. The vessels are electrically
driven based on renewable energy.

About Us
 Koen Geirnaert (CEO): Koen is responsible for the autonomous product road map of dotOcean and
customer relations. He is also covering legal and finance and brings a broad market knowledge of
autonomous systems and sensor networks to the maritime market. Koen holds an MSEE from the
University of Ghent and an MBA from Flanders Business School.
 Peter Staelens (CTO): Peter is a full stack developer. His PhD was funded by the Belgian Navy and
he contributed to collaborative NATO research. Peter is responsible for the autonomous systems
R&D road map of dotOcean. Peter graduated from the University of Ghent with an MSc in Geology,
a BSc in Electronic and ICT engineering and PhD in Geology.

 Sebastien Deprez (COO): Sebastien holds a master degree in IT and started his career as an IT-
consultant. During his 11 years at dotOcean he gained experience in managing and inspiring a (start-up) team and the IT operations. Sebastien has a passion for entrepreneurship, new
technologies and IoT.
