GREENBOATS GmbH
Friedrich Deimann founded GREENBOATS over 10 years ago with a mission to produce boats that combine the aesthetics and appeal of classic wooden boatbuilding with the design and engineering possibilities of modern composite technologies. As a boatbuilder, he recognized that modern composites offered better options in terms of costs and performance, but the materials themselves were not nice to work with and often harmful to both the health of the boat builder and the environment. Therefore, GREENBOATS is committed to using sustainable materials like natural fibers and plant-based resins to produce low-impact, lightweight components that are also fully recyclable. The company also takes responsibility for its materials by offering to take back and repurpose components when they are no longer needed.
We aim to disrupt the current business model of GRP manufacturers by taking responsibility for our materials and offering end-of-life solutions.
Unlike GRP manufacturers who prioritize sales margins, we prioritize sustainability by providing eco-friendly materials and taking back and repurposing our components.
Our approach to manufacturing lightweight components using natural fibers and plant-based resins differs from the traditional GRP industry, as we take a cradle-to-cradle approach that ensures responsible end-of-life management.
Our innovative materials and processing methods allow us to produce high-performance natural fiber composites that have a significantly lower environmental impact than traditional glass fiber composites, without sacrificing performance. We are seeking funds to scale our operations to keep up with the growing demand for our technologies.
