Cell4Food - Cellular Culture LDA
We are proud to have experienced, curious, and focused founders with great execution capacity. We take advantage of Portugal's greatest knowledge of cellular cultivation and tissue engineering empowered by great management and innovation experience.
Our BDO, Vítor Verdelho is an entrepreneur, business consultant, university lecturer and startup mentor with + 32 years of experience. Vítor has an academic background in Physics having specialized in microalgae R&D and bioengineering with several successful business ventures under his belt.
Our CEO, Luís Marques, is a consultant, lecturer and researcher in Business Strategy, Services Marketing, Customer Centricity and Customer Experience, in Retail, Education, Mobility, Health & Wellness. Engineer, MBA, +15 years experience with business background, formerly responsible for the Healthy Nutrition Division at Sonae MC and currently a Researcher and Professor at Porto Business School and FEP.
We are developing cell lines from different fish parts (fin, muscle and fat) in Azores Island where a great number of fish species is found.
We are kickstarting Cell-Based Agriculture in Portugal with fish cells developed with a great array of species in Azores Island .
