About Us
Nuno Gomes (Bluemater CEO) is graduated in Biology and Master in Applied Ecology from the University of Porto, is the founder and Administrator of Bluemater. He coordinated all the pilot projects carried out by the company that allowed the creation of Bluemater's differentiating technology. He invented and patented demonstration technologies (SYCON Biological Tower and NATANTIA Biocube) and has patents in submission, as well as patented technologies (VULCAN Flotator). It has dedicated its attention to the development of sustainable technologies and the search for the treatment of wastewater, water, gas and bioremediation.


Problem we are solving
"ALGAMATER WWTP - treatment of highly concentrated leachate and industrial wastewater, ensuring an excellent cost/benefit ratio.
VULCAN flotator - avoid the use of chemicals, incorporates an innovative foam liquefaction system, applied in sludge flotation, in Advanced Oxidation Processes w/ ozone or other oxidizers, and as a biological filter.
SYCONwater Biological Tower- percolation reactor in PRFV, filled with the NATANTIA Biocube. It acts as a biological filter in the aerobic treatment of effluents.

SYCONcompact Biological Tower - built of PRFV and filled with NATANTIA Biocube.
BMcompact WWTP built of PRFV, filled with NATANTIA Biocube and a lamellar decanter.
GREEN DUNE - microalgae culture with a highly efficient final tuning of the effluent in WWTP, used in bioremediation and CO2 capture.
CORK FLOATING ISLAND - for bioremediation in coastal areas, ports, wetlands, rivers and dams, also used in biological treatment, PhytoWWTP."

The competitive advantages are quality and innovation of new technologies already tested in real scales, high efficiency and low costs of operation and maintenance, quick ROI. Bluemater solutions are modular and scalable, allowing tailor-made solutions and turnkey systems to be designed, which are an asset in all markets. Bluemater solutions based on biological treatment processes, allowing a decrease of chemicals used/consumables, with reduction of emissions carbon and greenhouse gases. There are solutions designed for each type of industry, especially for cod processing industry (with effluents with very specific characteristics) comply with the emission limit values for their effluents.
