Bio-marine Ingredients Ireland
Jason Whooley has been CEO of Bio-marine Ingredients Ireland (BII) since Sept. 2014. Based in Co. Monaghan, BII is a joint venture between Killybegs Fishing interests and Norwegian partners. The company extracts high-end proteins, oils and calcium from fish, for use in a range of sectors including food ingredients. Prior to taking up the role in BII, Jason was CEO of the state seafood agency, Bord Iascaigh Mhra since 2007. He has an extensive knowledge of the fishing industry having spent over a decade as CEO of the fishing group, ISWFO. Jason is a graduate of UCC, where he was awarded a Bachelor of Commerce Degree.
Bio-marine Ingredients Ireland (BII) is a marine bio-tech company located in Co. Monaghan, just one hour from Dublin Airport. BII is a joint venture between Irish fishing vessel owners and Norwegian partners who are experts in marine ingredients. BII produces high-quality marine ingredients, utilising the vast quantities of blue whiting located proximate to the Irish coast. The combination of an integrated supply chain and state-of-the-art production facilities enables BII to supply marine protein hydrolysates, lipids and calcium to the international marketplace.
