Founder and CEO of the company Murat Telli (PhD) is also working as assist prof in Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal Unviversity. He is actively running different microalgae-based projects as PI to develop innovative food and cosmetic products. He has several scientific publications on microalgae and molecular biology. Cofounder Gizem Kaleli (PhD) also working in İzmir Demokrasi University in Turkey and she has several high impact publications on biomedical engineering.
Beta ALG Biotechnology is committed to develop microalgae based cosmetic and food product within the concept of circular economy. Antioxidant pigments purified from microalgae have been used as an ingredient for our cosmetic product. Our latest product is astaxanthin loaded nanofiber cosmetic face mask. Astaxanthin is encapsulated the first-time by biodegradable nanofiber materials using electrospinning approaches which is considered as safe and clean tech. Volunteer based clinical cosmetic tests on human subjects showed 80% of positive regenerative effects on skin.
