Problem we are solving
Zero-emission fast passenger transport on the water has a huge potential. However, until now a consequent ferry design, utilising the right combination of available new technologies has been missing. Most existing designs are for low- and medium-speed use which makes it challenging to be competitive - or they still use fossil fuels.

Sustainable Impact on Blue Ecconomy
Existing designs do not reach the high speed which increases transport capacity and with this improves the key criteria of competitiveness.
The solution needs to be well suited for heavy duty operation, should achieve high speeds, provide high reliability and come with very competitive operational costs. Green City Ferries (GCF) is doing the trick and combines three key technologies: semi-foiling catamaran design, carbon fiber hull and electric jet propulsion.
The design of the innovative ferry Beluga24 has been finalised. Next is the launch phase. Ongoing negotiations with local and international clients are filling the project pipeline.
Standardization and serial production the GCF cat factories will ensure capacity and productivity development as well as scalability
GCF protects its IP and core technologies by exclusive partnerships in its cat factories for the carbon fiber construction in Sweden and the US.
GCF uses local shipyards for final outfitting and powertrain support.
GCFs model enables asset-light production upscaling and creates jobs locally.
GCF target a market share of at least 20% and 150 vessels delivered by 2032 in the Existing Market. The New Market opportunities have the same potential.
