About Us
- Luka Dobrovi (CEO) is an experienced entrepreneur, currently engaged with Horizon 2020. A programme SME Instrument Business Coach with the European Commission. Luka graduated from the Business Economics department in 2007 followed by an MBA in 2014. Currently, he is a PhD candidate at the University of Rijeka. He gained strong experience in R&D projects since 2007 and got appointed as head of R&D projects in Croatian bioplastics company Mi-plast where he worked on the development of novel biopolymers and other plastics materials from microalgae.

-Marin Brajkovi, CFO of Adriatic Algae Biotech. He is currently engaged as the CEO of the Food City group, of companies in Rijeka. Marin graduated from the Business Management department of the University of Rijeka in 2011. As the CEO of Food City group he is managing a team of 150 employees in the food and beverage manufacturing while he is also responsible for the development of new products in the bakery and dairy sectors.



Problem we are solving
We produce microalgae biomass and fluids with suspended microalgal biomass via novel semi-continuous process. After the cultivation stage, we conduct organic treatment of biomass (hot water extraction, NaCl treatment and strong light treatment) to customise it to clients preferences.

Sustainable Impact on Blue Ecconomy
Our main selling point is EU certified organic microalgae biomass rich in proteins, minerals for healthy food and beverage products.
