MOSES (Modular Sealife System) is a modular artificial reef technology developed by ReefSystems in the Netherlands to enhance marine biodiversity and restore degraded aquatic ecosystems. It consists of interlocking reef units that can be assembled into reef structures and placed in oceans, coastal waters, estuaries, canals, or around marine infrastructure. Once installed, the modules create complex habitats with varied surfaces, cavities and microhabitats where marine life — such as oysters, mussels, seaweeds, fish and other organisms — can find food, shelter and space to reproduce.
Key features:
Nature-inclusive artificial reef: Designed to mimic natural hard substrates that attract and support a wide range of aquatic species.
Modular and adaptable: Units can be configured to suit different seabed conditions, project goals and scales, from small installations in urban waterways to large coastal reef projects.
Functional and multifunctional: Besides ecological uplift, MOSES reefs can be integrated with coastal or offshore structures (e.g., dikes, quay walls, floating solar anchoring systems) to add habitat value while fulfilling engineering functions.
Climate-aware production: Made using materials and methods aimed at reducing CO₂ emissions compared to traditional concrete, with ecological monitoring in collaboration with scientific partners.
MOSES has been deployed in multiple pilot and operational projects, including large installations along the Lauwersmeerdijk in the Wadden Sea, as well as experimental reefs in places like the Noordzeekanaal and Haringvliet, demonstrating measurable increases in species richness and ecosystem complexity.
In short, MOSES turns engineered marine structures into thriving underwater ecosystems, bridging ecological restoration with practical infrastructure needs.

One of the product lines is the development of autonomous cable management and fast charging system. The challenge is, establishing a quick and reliable connection under on and offshore conditions. The system involves both hardware (Cartesian robot) and software (AI image processing). We have an ongoing patent process, which helps the way to change the connection operation in a more sensible way; that is a single mechanical unit can be used to deliver different types of cables. So, this model reduces the burden of developing and manufacturing custom machinery for each and every application. Keeping the mechanical systems simple, we can focus on software and controls, allowing the solution to scale.

We are researching the environmental impacts of sequestering terrestrial biomass in the deep Black Sea. Once proven viable, it has the potential to develop a new sector of economy in Romania and all around the Black Sea. This economy includes reforestation and forest management, sustainable trucking and biomass processing, maritime shipping and deep Black Sea monitoring.

The project, 'Rivers of Change: Awareness and Action for Water Protection through Zero Waste Lifestyle' aims to instill environmental - especially water - awareness and zero-waste practices among 3000 high school students in 10 cities across Romania. The primary goal is to foster a sense of responsibility towards the environment, promoting active citizenship and sustainable living.
The target audience includes high school students, families, and local communities in cities such as Timișoara, Cluj, Bucharest, and others. By focusing on youth, the project aims to create a ripple effect, influencing broader societal change.
The initiative involves educational sessions, waste cleanup events, installation of water-saving devices, and a transformative camp experience. The multifaceted approach aims to create a lasting impact on participants' behaviour and community practices.
The project spans 12 months with activities designed to create continuous engagement and awareness throughout this period.
Led by Project Manager Nicoara Raluca, the project involves a dedicated team comprising Irina Latiș and Ana Maria Moga. Collaboration extends to schools, municipalities, and organizations such as Liceul Teoretic Henri Coanda and Zero Waste Romania, creating a network of support for project success
