MICROBIA ENVIRONNEMENT

Microbia Environnement is a green biotechnology company that designs and markets innovative molecular solutions based on genetic biosensors to contribute to sustainable water quality management. Since 2019, we’ve been successfully supporting our clients in forecasting waterborne microbial threats in their water resources, saving them approximately 10M€ thanks to our CARLA technology. Our value proposition: C.A.R.L.A. is a game-changing biotechnology to shift the paradigm of water quality monitoring and management from microbial risk management to anticipation, in a context of water quality degradation due to climate change and human pollutions. Our disruptive technology enables water managers to anticipate the emergence and proliferation of microbiological threats in their raw water resources. Our fast and actionable results enable them to take appropriate action before it is too late, decreasing their production costs and economic losses while protecting end users and biodiversity. We address drinking water suppliers and utilities, local authorities, recreational water managers, aquaculture and agriculture professionals, water quality testing laboratories, and environmental consulting firms who wish to implement or propose self-monitoring and early warning systems to anticipate environmental and health risks associated with microbes in water. We provide either a fully integrated solution from water sampling to microbial threats and early warning reporting, including decision making tools for fast and actionable results, or C.A.R.L.A as kits on the shelves for our environmental laboratories partner to provide the same value chain anywhere with day+0 or day+1 results.

Mina Canaan PC

Mina Canaan is green boat technology. A fiberglass catamaran powered by a wind acting on a solid telescopic wingsail, the wingsail is covered with solar panesl. When sailing with the wind, the solar energy is used to generate hydrogen from water by electrolysis, when no wind sun is up it is solar electric, when no wind and no sun, the stored hydrogen is used by Fuel Cell to make electicity and power utilities and electric motors. The navigation and switch from wind to sun to hydrogen is managed by Mina Ai assisted App. A prototype scale 1/3 was manufactured and tested at sea.

Minesto

Minesto is a marine energy technology developer, founded in 2007 as a spin-off from Swedish aerospace manufacturer Saab. Since then, Minesto has successfully developed its unique ocean energy technology. The company has operations in Sweden, Wales, the Faroe Islands, Northern Ireland and Taiwan, with headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden. Main owners are BGA Invest and Corespring New Technology. The Minesto shares are listed on the Nasdaq First North Growth Market in Stockholm. In the Faroe Islands, Minesto is part of one of the world’s most ambitious energy transition schemes – to reach 100% renewable energy by 2030. Collaborating with local electric utility company SEV, Minesto is working to pave the way for tidal energy to become a core part of the Faroese energy mix. Minesto and SEV have a collaboration agreement including a power purchase agreement, through which SEV commits to purchase the electricity generated by Minesto’s tidal kite systems. In 2023, Minesto announced a detailed plan for large-scale buildout of tidal energy arrays in the Faroe Islands. The large-scale buildout plan sets out a stepwise installation of tidal kite arrays, each with 20-40 MW installed capacity, at four verified locations. In addition to Minesto’s existing grid-connected site in Vestmannasund, the company points out Hestfjord, Leirviksfjord, Skopunarfjord and Svinoyarfjord as ideal arrays. With a total capacity of 200 MW tidal energy, generating an estimated 400+ GWh per year, the arrays would supply 40%+ of the Faroe Islands’ growing electricity consumption.
