Bionic System Solutions (BSS)

Our solution will develop a custom IoThub and a cloud solution to host data. Both applications rely on open standards, giving maximum flexibility to shipping companies. This allows a shipowner to select an IotHub from another vendor and connect it to our cloud platform and vice versa or interface between our platform and another IoT platform. However, the time difference in arrival estimation requires that data be sampled synchronously down to less than a trial period for all sensors. This is not a trivial task and this functionality is not found in any common applications today. Since our IoT hub is implemented on top of an integrated Linux platform that in turn interfaces with up to 127 embedded modules via its I2C bus, the hub can be dynamically expanded to test between one and several hundred sensors synchronously, and if more endpoints are required, we will also be able to connect several IotHubs. The IoT platform combines methods in frequency analysis, machine learning.

BioQuest Alliance

BioQuest Alliance (BQA) is a company currently in the start-up phase focussed on developing a series of facilities worldwide, producing clean energy in the form of biofuels, transitionary (including maritime) fuels, and electricity, from plastic and organic (food) waste and with a vision to build and inspire a better, more resourceful, and sustainable world for future generations. Several sites have currently been planned along with a strategy to tackle (i) waste, (ii) green and transitionary fuels, and (iii) the provision of electricity locally, nationally, and ultimately worldwide. It is an ambitious crossover of multiple technologies in a clear and profitable business model, to accelerate - and profit from - a global green-power revolution. Each BQA facility comprises three main phases, each complementing the last, and improving the overall efficiency and value of the facility, with a key goal to turn each BQA facility into an energetic, scientific, and waste-processing hub in its respective region(s).

BlueBurn

As a platform, we cater to two sets of customers: algae biomass buyers and algae producers/suppliers. Both face substantial uncertainty, risks, and information gaps, impeding innovation and scalability. Buyers encounter challenges in finding reliable sources that meet their demands efficiently. Algae, a low-carbon resource, aligns with the Paris Agreement goals. On the flip side, suppliers grapple with market access issues. They struggle to produce products that fit the market and encounter unsold stock, insufficient information for strategic decisions, financial shortages, and survival struggles. The disconnection between buyers and suppliers impedes innovation, survival, and scale-up efforts.

BluEnergy Revolution

BluEnergy Revolution (BER) offers Engineering, Consulting and Training services in the field of traditional and innovative energy systems, bringing research excellence in these fields and in particular all the knowledge in the nautical sector. The product that will be launched in the marine sector from its spinoff company H2Boat (H2B) is the Energy Pack, a system of storage of energy produced from renewable sources for sailing boats. The Energy Pack is a system that uses hydrogen technology to autonomous leisure boats; especially sailing boats; from the point of view of the electrical needs on board. The system consists of three parts: a fuel cell, able to produce electricity from hydrogen; an accumulation with metal hydrides, able to store large quantities of hydrogen safely at low temperatures and low pressures; an electrolyzer, able to produce hydrogen from water using excess energy produced from renewable sources.
