Our ongoing blue economy project for aquaculture typically focuses on sustainable and innovative practices to enhance the efficiency, productivity, and environmental sustainability of aquaculture operations.
Eyefish combines three key features. Firstly, it utilizes advanced technologies such as AI and depth vision to measure the length and width of fish samples, estimate their weight, and calculate the mean weight in the cage, enabling the estimation of biomass. Secondly, it employs AI to detect skin symptoms of various fish diseases, thereby preventing widespread outbreaks. Finally, it provides a platform for centralized farm management, allowing the fish farmer to monitor essential parameters, KPIs, inventory management, and team collaboration, all within a single solution.

Cathodic protection aims to eliminate the corrosion of a surface by converting it into the cathode of an artificial made electrochemical cell. Cathodic protection can be applied using two methods: 1) Sacrificial Anodes method and 2) Impressed Current Cathodic Protection method. Prediction of potential and current distribution is a serious issue in several cathodic protection applications, in design as well as in operating, monitoring and retrofitting contests. Computational methods and simulation software can assist CP engineers for analyzing both simple and complex geometries as well.
FEAC Engineering P.C. offers PITHIA-CP software for CP design. PITHIA-CP helps you getting realistic virtual models of structures with accurate knowledge of current and potential distribution by taking into consideration the non- linear electrochemical behavior of the metal. The simulation enables to pinpoint the critical points and to easily optimize the cathodic protection system by examining alternative scenarios.

The Flocazur technology is a Circular Economic and transformation technology that saves 35 % - 45 % of the cost of the investment in the technology park through energy efficiency, decreases the need for chemicals, saves water and maintenance compared with other technologies. The Flocazur technique only consists of one step five different reactions (oxidation- physical and or biological, coagulation/flocculation, adsorption/ absorption, coalescence, filtration/decantation) in one reactor. The reactor is designed to make maximum use of these reactions and thus achieve a fast and efficient sludge formation, with the optimal physical - chemical characteristic for separation. This reduces the use of chemicals, energy and avoids complicated process steps.

Flocean aims to solve the global challenge of water scarcity by utilizing our innovative subsea desalination technology that has dramatic improvements over current conventional desalination: 30-50% less energy consumption, no release of toxic brine and chemicals, 95% less land area, and easier permitting process. Additionally, the Flocean technology is not affected by surface events like algal blooms, storms and flooding.
Leveraging on our heritage subsea experience, the company has reached important milestones over the last nine months:
1. We have obtained validation by DNV of the system functionality and the energy claim
2. We have commenced operation of a deep sea (500m depth) pre-treatment and seawater reverse osmosis test plant
3. We have signed two new MOUs and received three top-level Government endorsements, building onto our strong pipeline of projects
We are now moving into the next phase: Building a 1 MLD (1 million liters/d) demonstration project to further reduce the technical risk and unlock the market. Due to substantial demand for our systems, we are in the process of bringing several projects to FID (Final Investment Decision). We are therefore launching a 6 m EUR “Acceleration funding” to cover the period up to sanctioning of projects.
