About Us
We have built a team that has domain knowledge in the areas of renewable energy, finance, ICT, and policy. Our people bring decades of experience gained from diverse roles working for technology developers, utilities, energy companies, universities and state agencies. We have particular expertise in the marine and offshore sector including both conventional and emerging technologies like floating wind, wave and tidal.

Raymond Alcorn - CEO and Founder
Ray has spent over 25 years in research, development, commercialisation and implementation of Offshore Renewable Energy from a professional background as a Chartered Electrical Engineer. He has held a number of senior technical and management roles within the sector and is currently CEO of Exceedence Ltd. Together with his skilled team of software developers and financial analysts, Ray has brought Exfin to the market which is software enabling the optimisation of large scale renewables projects. Sitting on the board & steering committees of several prominent organisations including the NSAI, MRIA and Wind Europe Digitalisation task force, Ray is a key driver in implementing standards to this new industry.

John Keating - Director and Founder

Problem we are solving
Exfin provides an easy like-for-like comparison across devices, projects and locations with the bottom line being financial viability. Indicators such as Levelised Cost of Electricity (LCOE), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Net Present Value (NPV), Payback and Cash flows are provided to answer these questions.
A shortcoming of the renewable energy sector is its ability to produce robust and credible financial plans based on project implementation of wind, wave, tidal, offshore wind, and combined technologies.
This has had the knock-on effect of slowing the sector due to the investor’s inability to quantify or differentiate technical and financial risk. Exfin is a sound, equitable and independent financial planning software tool, which will bring confidence to, and de-risk, the sector

Sustainable Impact on Blue Ecconomy
We offer a cloud tool to connect teams designing offshore renewable projects. We save time in the modelling phase with the tool and then give them a range of analysis tools to run scenarios, optioneer and optimise projects. This saves time, costs less in resource and expertise, reduces risk and also produces more financially optimised projects which are either more competitive, more investable and or more profitable.
