LOQUS clear vision is to work hand-in-hand with Governments, entities, partners and the
users i.e. fishers, providing them cutting-edge technology for the collection and
aggregation of the required data and rendering it available through a secure cloud-based
online platform in multiple formats across diverse media, thus facilitating the adoption of
the regulations set by the EU and the local Government. As key experts in data collection
and GIS, LOQUS envisage a modular cost-effective solution for the SSF and the fishing
industry, enabling fishers to collect accurate and reliable fisheries and related
environmental data in an automated and highly efficient form, for multiple purposes. All the
data requirements of the fishing industry from the fishing vessel right to the consumer will
be provided, fulfilling the authorities monitoring and control requirements and reporting
obligations.

MAGMA's ongoing project is at the forefront of sustainable, land-based macroalgae cultivation, focusing on species such as Ulva sp and Palmaria palmata. Positioned at the confluence of cutting-edge aquaculture technology and environmental conservation, our initiative aims to produce high-quality, traceable, and standardized algae biomass. A key aspect of our project is offering a scalable solution to seafarers who already possess infrastructure, such as oyster ponds, enabling them to diversify and enhance their operations sustainably. This approach not only aligns with the urgent need for sustainable practices within the blue economy but also promotes biodiversity, minimizes environmental impacts, and satisfies the growing demand for algae in food and nutraceutical sectors. By adopting advanced cultivation methods, MAGMA is redefining the utilization of marine resources, fostering a healthier planet, and bolstering a more resilient blue economy.
