LOOP Wind

LOOP WIND is an offshore wind platform optimization platform, which will increase the efficiency in locating and improving the performance of a certain floating platform under specific conditions. LOOP WIND's ultimate mission is to reduce the high costs and time spent of offshore wind project promoters, especially the floating. This reduction in time and costs focuses on estimating the different environmental parameters that may affect the offshore platform project in one way or another.

L’Océanite Tempête - in the service of surveillance

"L'Océanite Tempête" is the name of a seaplane drone project carried out by the POCHET Aerospace Company. This name was given to it in resonance with the name of the small sea bird, which lives on the cliffs and rocks of the open sea, and only very rarely comes back in contact with the land. Its flight at the level of the waves gives sometimes the impression of a race on the water. Frugal, it uses the cavities of the ground, and is sensitive to climate change because the marine microorganisms it ingests die in case of warming. The seaplane drone "Oceanite Tempête" from POCHET Aerospace is also interested in surveillance and stealthy overflight of its ecosystem... discreet, powered by alternative, hybrid energies. It explores, photographs, takes samples and reports on the health of the environment and the ecosystem in which it evolves. CALAMALO Aviation has at heart to offer, via this discreet, frugal, precise and fast aircraft, a capacity of embarkation of technologies of comprehension and analysis in real

MacroCarbon

- Macrocarbon, based in Gran Canaria, aims to grow seaweeds on a large scale for two main purposes: creating bio-based products for the chemical industry, like bionaphtha, and producing biochar for carbon sequestration. Our unique method covers the entire process from seaweed farming to final products. We plan to use a biorefinery method to extract valuable substances from the seaweed before turning it into biofuels and biochar through pyrolysis. To reduce transport costs, we want to process the seaweed near the farm, either on a boat or platform. This integrated system is designed to support a global, seaweed-based, sustainable bioeconomy, helping to replace fossil fuels and combat climate change.

MacroCarbon

MacroCarbon is a company founded in Gran Canaria to develop a supply chain to grow floating seaweeds at scale to produce bio-based inputs (eg. bionaphtha) for the chemical industry and biochar for permanent carbon sequestration. Our approach is unique since it integrates the entire value chain from aquafarming to products. We will use a biorefinery approach to extract high value products from the seaweed before processing it through pyrolysis for biofuels and biochar. We aim to have the processing plant on a boat or platform close to the aquafarm to avoid costly transport of the wet seaweed biomass. This way we will develop an integrated supply chain that will enable a global role out of a seaweed based circular blue bioeconomy that significantly contributes to de-fossilization of our current system and helps mitigate climate change.

MAGMA

MAGMA's ongoing project is at the forefront of sustainable, land-based macroalgae cultivation, focusing on species such as Ulva sp and Palmaria palmata. Positioned at the confluence of cutting-edge aquaculture technology and environmental conservation, our initiative aims to produce high-quality, traceable, and standardized algae biomass. A key aspect of our project is offering a scalable solution to seafarers who already possess infrastructure, such as oyster ponds, enabling them to diversify and enhance their operations sustainably. This approach not only aligns with the urgent need for sustainable practices within the blue economy but also promotes biodiversity, minimizes environmental impacts, and satisfies the growing demand for algae in food and nutraceutical sectors. By adopting advanced cultivation methods, MAGMA is redefining the utilization of marine resources, fostering a healthier planet, and bolstering a more resilient blue economy.
