ELOXIRAS

ELOXIRAS® is an innovative process for the treatment and reuse of marine and brackish water. It is developed to enhance the productivity and to reduce the environmental impact of recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS). Based on the electrochemical oxidation technology, it only requires an electrical potential between two electrodes in water. High removal rates of contaminants are achieved, such as total ammonia nitrogen (TAN), nitrite and dissolved organic matter, together with high disinfectant efficacy. Main features: - High efficacy. Removal of high concern pollutants, even bacteria and viruses, contributing to increase RAS capacity and productivity in a cost-effective way. - Reduced environmental impact. The impact of the RAS system is minimized due to lower water exchange requirements with the surrounding media. - Efficient energy process. Adaptable to optimize energy through a fine tune-up of the treatment intensity to the daily change of the pollutant production rate. - Compact design. Allowing to save investment costs and to maximize the integration possibilities (logistic applications in trucks and well-boats). - Easy automatization. Possibility of including a control system with remote alert procedures and supervision of the system condition and operation. - Easy to operate. Allowing to reach 100% of performance without start-up and adapting periods typical of the biological systems. - Modular and easy to scale-up. Allowing to increase treatment capacity with the maximum simplicity and the minimum investment cost. - Safe process. High safety for the farmed species, ideal for isolated applications as quarantine and bio-security.

ER LAB

We use marine biomass (invasive seaweed and seafood waste) and marine litter (abandoned fishnets) to craft high-quality next-gen materials that have exceptional characteristics in terms of durability and impact and have an efficient production process. This allows us to contribute to the SDGs goals in the following terms: - Decrease of material footprint: the amount of primary materials required to produce our final product is close to 0, since we use only marine biomass / marine litter or recycled items. - Increse in the tons of materials recycled: currently our partner collects 20 tons of seafood waste per day, and we estimate to repurpose a minimum of 285 of seafood waste by year 5 of our operations. - Reduction in gas emissions: CO2 emissions created in the production of our products amount to less than 6 kg per sqm, versus the 110 kg per sqm generated by genuine leather.

EyeFish

Our ongoing blue economy project for aquaculture typically focuses on sustainable and innovative practices to enhance the efficiency, productivity, and environmental sustainability of aquaculture operations. Eyefish combines three key features. Firstly, it utilizes advanced technologies such as AI and depth vision to measure the length and width of fish samples, estimate their weight, and calculate the mean weight in the cage, enabling the estimation of biomass. Secondly, it employs AI to detect skin symptoms of various fish diseases, thereby preventing widespread outbreaks. Finally, it provides a platform for centralized farm management, allowing the fish farmer to monitor essential parameters, KPIs, inventory management, and team collaboration, all within a single solution.

FEAC Engineering P.C.

Cathodic protection aims to eliminate the corrosion of a surface by converting it into the cathode of an artificial made electrochemical cell. Cathodic protection can be applied using two methods: 1) Sacrificial Anodes method and 2) Impressed Current Cathodic Protection method. Prediction of potential and current distribution is a serious issue in several cathodic protection applications, in design as well as in operating, monitoring and retrofitting contests. Computational methods and simulation software can assist CP engineers for analyzing both simple and complex geometries as well. FEAC Engineering P.C. offers PITHIA-CP software for CP design. PITHIA-CP helps you getting realistic virtual models of structures with accurate knowledge of current and potential distribution by taking into consideration the non- linear electrochemical behavior of the metal. The simulation enables to pinpoint the critical points and to easily optimize the cathodic protection system by examining alternative scenarios.
