TEDEPAD

TEDEPAD® is the first system specially designed to treat guts that are gen- erated when processing fish on board fishing vessels, with the aim of completely exterminate their parasites; Especially the Anisákidos, obtaining that those viscera can be returned to the sea without adversely affecting the marine ecosystems. In this way it contributes to the reduction of the concentration of these parasites in the fishing grounds where our fleet operates.

About Us
Marexi is the result of long personal experience in the marine technology industry of Mr Joaquín Salvador Gracia (participating in development projects where technological innovation has always played a major role. These include those made with the Department of Primary Industries, James Cook University, Research Centre of Coral, The Marine Research Institute and the Marine Park Barrier Reef, all in Australia and the Department Technical and design and manufacturing systems in the campaigns in search of giant squid along with members of the “Instituto de Investigaciones Marinas de Vigo” (Marine Research Institute – Vigo), and the Museum of Natural Sciences (Madrid), among others) and Mr Iñaki Miniño (graduate researcher in biology and marine science.


Problem we are solving
Marexi is a new, dynamic and young company from Galicia that bases its activity on the constant research and development of tools, equipment and technological solutions applied to the marine sector. Sciences such as acoustics, optics and other branches of physics are focusing increasingly their investigations into the marine environment. Marexi as a technology company specialized in the research work directly generating products and solutions to move increasingly in the exploration, research and development and conservation of marine resources.

Sustainable Impact on Blue Ecconomy
A MEDIUM FISHING TRAWLER WORKING, FOR EXAMPLE IN THE GRAND SOLE FISHING GROUND, INTRODUCES TO THE SEA ARROUND 50.000 ANISAKIS LARVAE/DAY (750.000 LARVAE/TRIP). Annually, during the on-board evisceration practices, this fleet flows into the sea around 3000 million anisakis larvae along with the discarded guts. PARASITE PROJECT EU http://parasite-project.eu
