Problem we are solving
Creating more value from less seaweed with owner-operated systems, Redrose will contribute to rural coastal economic development and create legacy jobs for future generations. We will reduce the carbon footprint by processing close to source whilst retaining high levels of minerals and nutrients that are currently being lost. The modest scale of each unit will ensure that only sustainable amounts of stock are processed in any one area, taking out only that which the ocean can replenish. Through innovative design the systems will be able to process a range of both wild and cultivated macroalgae, the replicability of the system will ensure scale to meet growing industrial demands without damaging the delicate marine eco-system.

Sustainable Impact on Blue Ecconomy
This systems offers scalability to meet growing industrial demands in a sustainable way. By producing two or more products from the same seaweed stock we increase the market value. Early stage processing reduces the carbon footprint, whilst capturing valued minerals and nutrients that are currently being lost. The system offers flexibility to process different species of seaweed enabling processing of a range of both wild and cultivated stock extending the season and supply chain.
