The BlueInvest Project Pipeline is a database and showcase of projects, scale-ups and SMEs who are driving innovation and sustainability in the Blue Economy.
The projects featured are innovative, scalable and sustainable business ventures from traditional and emerging sectors of the maritime economy.
The aim is to facilitate connections between projects and investors, helping innovative ventures gain visibility and access to funding opportunities.

Selection criteria
- Your company is EU-based or from an eligible sea basin region (Georgia, Turkey, Ukraine, Moldova, Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Serbia, Turkey, Israel, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Lebanon, Syria, Libya, Mauritania, United Kingdom, or Norway)
- Your project TRL is 4 or higher
- Your project sector is in one of the 10 blue economy sectors identified for this initiative
- Your solution has a clear sustainable impact on the blue economy
- Your project is looking for investment

Augusto Rodriguez-Villa: Bachelor in Law. As an entrepreneur, he has nationally and internationally represented the interests of first-class organizations (PHILIPS, MARCONI, CASA, BAZAN, etc.). He was the Founder and President of the most important security group in Spain in the 80s. He also has introduced in Spain the automotive brands MAZDA and KIA, as well as CHEVROLET and CADILLAC (General Motors Group), of whose National Distribution Companies he has been President and main shareholder. His group became the largest car importer in Spain. Through his initiatives, he has created 3,500 jobs. He was elected CEO of the year in 1988 by the Chamber of Commerce Industry. Two of the companies he founded and developed with limited resources entered the ranking of the Top 150 largest companies in Spain by revenues.
AlgaEnergy is a biotech company exclusively focused on microalgae, which consolidates in one vehicle almost 5 decades of research in this field of science.
